In the third quarter of 2025, the Romanian market for carpooling and ridesharing apps on iOS saw varied performance across the top applications. Here’s a breakdown of their trends based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bolt: Request a Ride, a popular choice from BOLT TECHNOLOGY OU, maintained consistent weekly downloads throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately 8.5K early in July and tapering to around 7.4K by the end of September. Active users showed a notable fluctuation, starting at roughly 595K and seeing a dip mid-quarter before rebounding to close at nearly 590K.

Uber - Request a ride, from Uber Technologies, Inc., experienced a more stable trend in weekly downloads, ranging from 4.8K to 6.6K. The app's active user base fluctuated but ended on a positive note, rising from around 313K to 305K by the end of the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, by Comuto, saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 2.5K and decreasing to approximately 2K by the quarter's end. Active users also fluctuated, with a peak in late July at about 33K, before settling at nearly 29K.
